"Stride & Glide" for IndependenceFirst at the Pettit National Ice Center happens on March 28, 2010, from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. (onsite sign-in 1:00-2:00pm). You can do as many or as few laps as you’d like. Since the ability to make one’s own choices is one of the cornerstones of our philosophy, this event is designed to give you a choice of running, walking, or rolling (in your wheelchair or with a stroller – no roller or inline skates please) on the indoor track, or skating on the oval where our Olympic speedskaters train. It’s a unique just-after-winter activity for everyone to get over their Winter Blues, get some activity with the whole family and not have to worry about spring showers. Walk, run roll or skate! Participants are asked to obtain pledges of $25 or more/adult to take part in the Stride & Glide. Kids aged 4-12 years/$10 and kids aged 3 and under are FREE! Pledge money must be turned in at the event. Everyone who pre-registers will get a long sleeved t-shirt and refreshments. Entrance fees and skate rental also included. Incentives for Pledge Funds: $100 – Cooler Bag $250—Cooler Bag + Water Bottle $500—Cooler Bag + Water Bottle + Sports Duffle $1,000—Cooler Bag + Water Bottle + Sports Duffle + Blue iPod Nano To Pre-register with your shirt sizes: Call Pattie at 414-226-8386 or email at pcox@independencefirst.org If you’d like an official pledge form, Pattie can email that to you as well.
