Brown Bag Lunch Event - Fall 2024

Join us in-person at Independence First for our Brown Bag Lunch event on "Fair Housing Protections for Persons with Disabilities."

When: Wednesday, November 6, 2024, Noon to 1:00 PM 

The presentation on “Fair Housing Protections for Persons with Disabilities” will be presented by Sarah Jenkins, Program Administrator with the Metropolitan Milwaukee Fair Housing Council (MMFHC) Outreach and Education Program. 

MMFHC is a private, nonprofit civil rights agency that assists people who have experienced housing discrimination. The presentation will provide an overview of fair housing rights for people with disabilities, including state and federal protections that help consumers obtain reasonable accommodations and modifications to ensure housing accessibility.
