Independence First540 S. 1st St.Milwaukee, WI 53204

Details:

Free equipment!

DUE TO HIGH DEMAND: We will post real-time updates on our Facebook page to let you know what items are claimed and no longer available. During this event, WE WILL NOT be giving away power wheelchairs, hospital beds, pediatric equipment or computers due to lack of inventory as we do not regularly accept these items.

We will be distributing gently used adaptive equipment on:
October 18th, 2024 from 9AM-3PM at Independence First: 540 S. 1st St. in Milwaukee

We will be giving away lightly used:

• telephones

• walkers

• transfer devices

• daily living aids

• tub benches

• recreation equipment

Independence First, a WisTech partner, accepts donations of lightly used adaptive equipment, made available at no charge to people who need it. Our donors have been extremely generous, so we are able to offer this to you absolutely free!

Doors will open at 9:00 am on Friday, October 18th. Due to expected traffic we will be controlling entry to our building, so please be prepared to stand outside or wait in your vehicle. You can expect to see walkers, bathing aids, manual wheelchairs, transfer devices and many daily living aids. Again, we will NOT be giving away power wheelchairs, hospital beds, pediatric equipment or computers due to lack of inventory as we do not regularly accept these items. Because the quantities of certain items are limited, we will be restricting the total number of devices to 2 per household. If we are not able to meet your needs on Friday, please see event staff about adding your contact info and the equipment you are looking for to our waiting list. We will try to match you up with future donations as they come in. We look forward to seeing you at the event!

Quantities are limited, so some restrictions may apply. Please call 414-291-7520 if you have any further questions.
