Sibs Strong - Peer Support Group

For siblings of people with disabilities

Sibs Strong is a support group for young people ages 8-17 that aims to provide a friendly and safe space for siblings of people with disabilities.
Here, they can meet others in similar situations, share their stories, and build lasting friendships. Through open conversations and fun activities, participants will also feel more confident in speaking up for their own needs and those of their families. 

 Meetings will be held at Independence First:

540 S 1st Street, Milwaukee, WI 53204 

Group meets 1st Wednesday of the month from 5PM-6PM on the following dates: 

March 5th, 2025 

April 2nd, 2025 

May 7th, 2025 

June 4th, 2025 

July 2nd, 2025 

August 6th, 2025

For the safety and comfort of those with chemical and environmental sensitivities, Independence First requests that when attending agency-sponsored events, please refrain from using any perfumed products such as scented soaps, deodorants, perfumes, colognes and heavily scented fabric softeners. To maintain a smoke-free environment, please also refrain from smoking in paths of travel and doorways.
