Independence First hosted a press conference with Wisconsin Disability Vote Coalition on September 12th, to celebrate National Disability Voting Rights week as well as the ruling from Chief U.S. District Judge James Peterson allowing disabled voters to receive assistance when returning absentee ballots.
Mayor Cavalier Johnson proclaimed the week of September 12-16, 2022 as National Disability Voting Rights Week in the City of Milwaukee.
